Thanks I will go check that out. Well I did we still make too much to get this. Wish this type of program would look at what medical bills you have coming to determine if you are eligible. If so we would be able to get assistance.
I am right there with you sister! We are in the same situation. It is riduculous. Both my husband and I work (my hubby works two jobs), all the jobs are good jobs but the medical/dental expenses are eating us alive. Most of my son's issues - insurance does not cover. My insurance man even tells us it is almost riduculous to even have insurance on him. So I understand where you are coming from. Wish I could win the lottery. But that is not happening.
Hi, My name is Deidra I am mother to an 8 year old boy who has lots of medical issues. I work full time and my husband works two full time jobs. We have insurance. Unfortunately most of my son's issues are not covered by insurance this has been a rough year on us financially. We almost lost our house (which is by no means a nice house) it needs lots of work in fact (it is an old farmhouse). My son has had some new issues emerge this year and we have had an enormous amount of medical expenses. We are really having a hard time and it is so frustrating when we are really trying to do this on our own and not get help. We are looking at a very major surgery (possibly this summer) which would help him a great deal but of course it is not covered or very minimally by insurance. I will be out of work for a pretty long recovery period (fortunately my job is very understanding) so I can take the time off but it will be unpaid. Have no idea how we will make house payments, power, phones etc.. during this time. If anyone knows of any grants out there that might help or organizations please let me know. I tried Shriners but they don't usually do this (they specilize in burn victims). Almost tempted to quit work stay at home so we can get some help but I have a good job and don't want to jeopardize my future retirement and I still have pride and really like my job.
Try calling local social services office (ours in NC has a program that helps cover heating/cooling costs for low/fixed income individuals- up to a certain amount). Our power companies also have a fund set up (not sure how to apply for this one though). Or call your local United Way, check to see if you have Cooperative Christian Ministies in your area they are there to help with prescriptions/food/shelter/heat/air costs also. Good Luck!
Can any help my mother find, buy, or even build her a house. I have 3 brothers, three sisters, and two nephews that were evicted from the house that they haved lived in for 11 years. My mom was sending money to a company that was suppose to keep her house from being foreclosed. But the house was already sold, while she was still paying this company. My family was evicted from their home on May 18, 2007. It was such a hard day. My mom thought the world had ended for her. Please if there is anyone that can help us. Please help! Thank you so much.

I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLIN LIVING IN MOTEL AND STILL TRYIN TO PAY MORTGAGE AND BILLS AND KEEP MY SANITY. CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO GET HELP QUICK. THANKS GOD BLESS
25k is alot of money, but it definately could be worse. I competely understand you not wanting to tell your husband... however... he will be even more upset if he dosn't find out until it is too late. If I were you, I would tell him. You can't hide it forever and maybe he knows something that might help. In the mean time, focus not on what you can't do... but what you CAN do. Do you have any talents or trades that might bring in money? Do you like to sew or paint or something, anything at all? Make a list and see what you can do with it, if you have internet (which you must to write this) you have many many resources to make money, even if it isn't alot. Sell a craft on ebay,... write greeting cards for small company. Other then that, see about what jobs you might find without transportation.. paper delivery? A local conveinent store ect. Check your local paper for help wanted ads or even ideas. Lastly, take care of yourself. Eat, sleep and take a walk outside or meditate if you have to. You cannot remedy your situation if you are weak and sick and cause MORE bills. Good luck!
That is really a tough situation, even if you sell your home and rent an apartment (depending on where you live) you will be paying that much or more for a much smaller living space that you do not own. The best advice I can give you is to research FHA and see if you can get any help. I know they work with fisrt time home buyers and actively work to keep people from having to forclose their homes. Other then that perhaps you can rent a portion or all of the home for a short time. Either rent a spare room, or see if you can temporarily move in with family or friends and rent out your home, the rental cost will pay your mortgage payments and you can save up your paychecks to help pay off the rest. Best of luck! If you need help finding more info on FHA send me a message!
